Fashionable Relay Challenge: Post Two
I swear to God I’ll stop sucking at blogging one day.
For those of you who have not yet heard of the Fashionable Relay Challenge, I expect you’re wondering what it is. Well, no better place to find out than Sasy Scarborough’s blog.
The lovely Sasy has passed the torch to me as the second relayer in this race for fashion extremities and eccentricities. I like that. Eccentric and extreme fashion. Rawr. Throw in a barrel of beer and some nuts, and we have ourselves a par-tay.
I know you’re all just DYING to know what I’m wearing here… so I’ll just cut to the chase and save the fluff for later. BUT! Don’t forget to click the picture above for a closer, more perv-worthy look.
Chosen Relay Item From Sasy’s Post (for fast reference): Maitreya’s Frenzy Heels in Green.
As always, we’ll start with the skin. I am wearing the most recent Redgrave (SLURL) release, Leona, in deep tan. I have never blogged about a Redgrave skin (and don’t worry, for time restraints, I won’t start now) but I truly love this skin. It’s very sophisticated and elegant, and holds all the quality that Redgrave promises in its products. I’m not the biggest fan of the deep tan color, I much prefer the lighter variations… however, this is my story, and I’m stickin’ to it: Redgrave Leona = skin whore lurve.
My hair was a recent acquirement, Apatia in Smoke color, created by the lovely, bubbly, beautiful Autumn Hykova of Pixel Dust (SLURL). This has actually quickly become one of my MOST favorite wigs, and my man’s pretty approving of it as well. Apparently my head is made for short hair, and he just adores it. Who’s to blame him? This hair completes my wannabe rocker chick look on my best of days, and my dressed-down, freshly rolled out of bed down days. Versatile and adorable. Just how I like it.
The eyes are one of my old favorites, having been in my inventory for quite some time: Miriel (SLURL) eyes in Sepia. Anyone that knows me, knows I’m very partial to light colored eyes. In fact, I very rarely, if ever, stray from my usual trademark grey eyes. But sometimes, when I feel like adding a little color to the stone gray eyes that sit in my sockets, I typically will put these babies in for some flavor. Eye color change on demand. Only in SL. Or Twilight.
My eyelashes are also something I’ve had in my inventory for a while, and probably my favoritestestest pair ever… Laqroki’s (SLURL) Dramatic lashes.
The glasses… now these are a treat. I bought the fat pack of these babies a little over a year ago now I believe, and I’ve yet to have the chance to wear them, but OH MY GOD, thank god for the two accessories requirement in this relay challenge, because now I had THE PERFECT opportunity to wear them. Artilleri (SLURL) Marla Glasses in Olive are so cute and sophisticate that they make me feel all… quirky. When I put them on, I automatically have visions of Starbucks, Mocha Lattes, and Macbook Pros. I simply adore them and the way they make my inner hipster start screaming for caffeine and cigarettes.
The earrings are available as a set or separately at EarthStones (SLURL). The Knotty Beads Earrings are just too cute for words, and the rest of the knotty beads sets are just as awesome. I have to own all of them by now. And if I don’t, I should. And you should too. A girl can never have too many beads. Coming from a native New Orleanian, trust me, I know. Though thankfully, these are beads you don’t have to flash your boobies for… though I’m sure no one would object. *ahem*
My stole is one of my more recent discoveries as well. Okay, maybe not TERRIBLY recent, but November/December-ish. Massimo (SLURL) created these damn awesome sculpted masterpieces, the Fringe Checkered Stole in Green (and many other colors), a ways back but they have got to be the gift that keeps on giving, because I could honest to god wear one with every outfit I could ever come up with. They’re so snuggly they make me wanna throw on a chunky sweater and curl up by a fireplace.
The Novocaine (SLURL) Genevieve Long Sweaters (this one is Melon color) are to die for, and belong in every Fashionista’s closet. The sculpted bottom is perfect for virtually any size and shape, and contours perfectly to the womanly hips every girl should have. The cute little bow at the waist (attached to the sculpted bottom part of the sweater) is the icing on the cake, really.
The bracelets I’m sporting in this cozy ensemble are from two of my favorite accesories places evar – Armidi Gisaci (SLURL) and Persona (SLURL). I know, I know. I told myself I wouldn’t blog anything Armidi, but I just couldn’t help it… I love Towanda Quintet Bangles in Gold. And Persona has got to make some of the cutest jewelry, and I was so happy to finally have a reason to wear the bronze Mighty Heart Bracelets that I just had to jump at it. Please don’t hate me.
These pants are a very new find for me… I bought them maybe a week ago. I’ve been DYING to find cute utility pants and Kenzie & Co’s (SLURL) Denim Utility Capris in Classic Wash are just perfect and I can’t tell you how happy I am to have bought them… in fact, I bought the whole shebang. William Hung be damned. Kenzie Craven be praised.
The tights are my absolute favorite piece of clothing this season. Seriously… I wear them constantly. Ask anyone that sees me on a regular basis, and they will tell you — I am rarely seen without the Leezu Baxter Designs (SLURL) Cat Tights (in Champagne above) these days. They’re just so cute, versatile, comfy, cozy, trendy and … 80s. As a product of the 80s, I simply adore them. And they come in SO MANY COLORS… I just can’t seem to run out of outfits to wear them with.
My legwarmers are yet another recent purchase, and something I’ve been dying to wear. Malt (SLURL) is a store that holds many surprises for me. Each time I go I find something I simply MUST HAVE and I tend to leave broke and happy. The Malt Legwarmers (in Kiwi above) were no different, because as soon as I saw them I just knew I had to have them… in many colors. Often. Rawr.
And last but certainly not least, the reason for this ensemble, the creme de la creme of Sasy’s relay blog post, the thing that started this explosion of comfy, crazy, quirky, hipster knick-knacking mashup, the relay item extraordinaire… the shoes. Ah, the shoes. Maitreya’s (SLURL) Frenzy heels in Green. Somehow I missed the heels entirely and found the Frenzy wedges last time I was there… but I am so happy that Sasy’s blog post has opened my eyes to the fact that yes, these shoes do exist. And they now exist in my inventory.
And now this brings my relay post to an end, and I shall pass the torch to the next brave soul… the one and only Samara Barzane. Be on the lookout… I’m sure her blog entry will come sooner than mine did! *someone smack me cuz I suuuuuck! I swear I’ll get better… -.-* Check out Samara’s blog here!

The Victoriaus Ring
Yes, it’s true, it’s been a long time since I last blogged… but I’ve been keeping busy, I swear! And what worthier cause to dust the admin panel off for than the Victorian Bushfires Fundraiser?
This ring was created exclusively for the fundraiser, and 100% of proceeds made are donated directly to the fund.
It is only available at the Genesis main store on Zion (SLURL). Scripted for five texture change options (silver, gold, copper, bronze, and gunmetal) and is transferable, so boys – don’t be shy. Support a worthy cause and get your girl a pretty giftie just in time for Valentine’s day.

Scarlia Impressions by Alia Whitfield
I thought I’d take a moment today to tell you about a talented “Second Life optometrist” (and budding jewelry creator) as she refers to herself, a miss Alia Whitfield! Miss Whitfield is actually one half of the mind behind Scarlia Impressions (SLURL), with her partner Scar Ayres being the shapeshifter of the two (she really does make some beautiful shapes!).
The latest realease of MultiColor Eyes is actually exquisite, with what seems like a billion different varieties to choose from. There are sixteen total color variation packs, each pack with 4 varities of colored eyes inside. That’s a total of 64 pairs of eyes! Each of these color variation packs sells for just $100L a piece. These eyes can be purchased in two seperate fatpacks (naturals and unnaturals) for $600L or as one giant megafatpack of all eyes available for $960L.
While you’re there, I’d also highly recommend checking out the DualTone Eyes, which are actually my favorite line so far (the third line currently available is the Monochrome Eyes)! The glassy look to all of the eyes are what sells them for me… that kind of specularity is hard to achieve, and Alia does it remarkably well.
Another exciting new release includes the Kaleidoscope Necklaces, which you can see below. Available in 12 colors and selling for $150L each, there’s a color here for virtually any item you may have in your inventory. And they are casual enough to wear with anything!
What are you waiting for? Need some new eyes, a shape, or a swanky new necklace for the holidays? Head on over to Scarlia Impressions! Here’s the taxi.

Belleza’s Belle
Belleza’s (SLURL) new skin line “Belle” will be coming soon, and girl… are you in for a treat. I’ve spent the better half of the last day, staring at a picture I took of myself wearing this skin… not because I’m vain (pfft, me vain? bah :P) but because I can’t get over how realistic the texture of the face is.
It’s so pretty, exotic, realistic, beautiful… I could go on. And granted, despite that I just KNOW these skins are going to be (and probably have already started being) plastered all over the Fashion Feed, I can’t help but want to be one of the bloggers singing the Belle Ballad of Praise. Despite that they haven’t been released yet, I’m so excited to share these pictures, that I can barely contain myself. Get ready to drool.

I Will Be Reviewing:
Belleza Belle in Tan. While the closeup I post will only show one of the many available makeups, you may view other upcoming makeup availabilities here and here.
I will start this review out by saying that it is a huge jump up from the rest of the Belleza skin lines. I’ll admit, I’ve tried them all, and this is the first one that ever really kept me feeling like “me”. I’m sure we all know what I mean. It’s an identity crisis that all of us skin whores have… so many skins, so many different looks. But still the desire to keep the identity we love. It’s a hard job, being a skin lover, I tell ya.
The face, as you can probably see, is absolutely gorgeous. Truly, as someone said on my Flickr stream, it is traffic stoppingly beautiful. It gave me a bit more of an exotic look, which I love… I’m a big fan of “exoticism”. At least, where my face is concerned. The makeups are all gorgeous, though some might be a little out-of-the-water for some people. I’m actually a big fan of quirky makeups when the occassion calls for them.
The nipples on this skin have actually always been my favorite part of Belleza’s skins. They’re textured and sexy, but not huge on the breast — they’re just right. And the color always consistently matches the skin tones perfectly. I love the belly button too, and that cute little detail, the beauty mark, to the bottom right of it.
My only, and I’ll admit this is a minor and petty, continuous complaint from me: is body hair color choices and options. The eyebrows are just slightly more brown than I normally like to wear with my consistently black hair styles. And the pubic hair is also slightly brownish. Pubic hair I’m not so bothered with, but eyebrow color choices are a big deal for me, and I’m sure I’m not alone. If a skin is absolutely, stunningly gorgeous, but has blazingly red eyebrows… the likelihood of my wearing it drops significantly. Belleza’s eyebrows, despite being notably brown, are not brown ENOUGH to keep me from wanting to wear this gorgeous piece of digital deliciousness. But still… eyebrow and pubic hair options, for the win.
Also, just throwing it out there — a tintable pubic hair option on an underwear layer would be a great addition to many skin lines, I feel. Not to mention it would silence those of us that dislike pubic hair in general (no hair, no fuss, eh?!). /endtwocents
Anyway, back to the beauty.
One thing I really need to point out on this skin, that struck my attention like nothing else — the highlighting on the back of the ankles, where the achilles tendon is… is FLAWLESS. Despite that I don’t have a picture of it, I wanted to point that out. They look incredible. When these babies come out, you should definitely take a closer peek at the sheer detail of shading and highlights on this skin. It’s truely remarkable. And while we’re checking out legs, take a look at the FEET on this skin… I hope none of you are dating foot fetishists! You’ll never be able to kick them away!
Overall, I’d say that Belleza’s new skin line is a giant A+ in my Big Book of Skin Whoreish Love. And when December 10th rolls around, get to the store early (SLURL)… because I have no doubt it’ll be flooded by droves of girls, old and new, looking to upgrade to the latest Belle.
I “Adore” Adam n Eve
About 3 weeks ago, Miss Sachi Vixen, one half of the creative guru-squad that is behind the Adam n Eve (SLURL) empire, released her new skin line: “Evolution“. A set of four different skins: Adore (which I’ll be reviewing today! yay!), Devon, Cherie, and Angel, all of which are smooth, beautiful, and get this… they LOVE Windlight.
Quoted from the Adam n Eve blog, I don’t think I could say it any better myself:
Like all things a store evolves and moves with the times, changes and grows or it will stagnate. We’ve always been very aware of our responsibility to our customers to move along with SL and its changes. Windlight changed how skins looked a great deal so it was time to try new skin making methods to enhance the products in the store. I’ve spent a great deal of time working on a new style of photoreal skin which I think will appeal to those who like realistic AND those who don’t.
Interested in the nitty gritty?
Creator: Sachi Vixen
Store Location: Genesis (SLURL)

Detail Pictures:

I Will Be Reviewing:
Adore, Tone 4. Makeups available to view: Feline, Frosted.
One thing I will say out right, is that Sachi has definitely listened to my pubic hair prayers. With each pack, you receive two skins: one with pubic hair, and one without. Anyone that knows me, knows exactly how much I bitch about pubic hair, and knows just how much I prefer to go shaved. With Adore (and all the skin lines), we have the choice of going bald, or trimmed. Luscious.
I adore the new toning that comes with this exquisite photorealistic skin. The highlights are quite beautifully done, and Sachi is true to her word: the skins are fantastic in Windlight.
I especially love the detailing on the legs, the knees especially. Remarkably realistic and just detailed with all the proper highlight and shadows, perfectly. The toes, there’s definitely room for improvement there, but what they lack, the shins make up for … look at the highlight on those bones! Beautiful.
The detailing on the hands is particularly good too, as is the collar bone. I’m a sucker for a good collar bone these days, I’m not quite sure why. But the more I dive into skin culture, the more I realize… collar bones are kind of a lost art in the world of skin creation, am I right?
Overall, I am truly impressed with Sachi’s first dive into photorealism, and incredibly remarked at how well the skins look in Windlight. Beautiful faces, flawless bodies, and cherbish charm in everything she does… that is the quality of Adam n Eve. Drop by the store, pick up some demos! And get ready to fall in love.
AND… while you’re there, (and keep looking for more info on this later — it’s going to be HUGE, I can’t wait to see it take off), pick up your Valued Client Card, a REVOLUTIONARY new card that will completely overhaul the freebie system as we know it (hopefully). A little about the card:
The Adam n Eve Valued Client Card is a reward system where you can gain points for purchases you make in L$. You can also purchase points to use yourself and top up your card or you can purchase points and send to a friend as a gift.
For every $100L you spend* while wearing the card, you will get at least 1 point. Once you have enough points, you can redeem them for free items of your choice!
