I had the pleasure of running across Stephanie Misfit’s shop a couple of nights ago while I was on one of my many, many shopping adventures. I remember seeing pictures of the skins on the Deux Looks blog, and thinking, “oh my god… those are B-E-A-UTIFUL!” So, naturally, I had to check them out for myself. I bought TWO of them, which in and of itself should speak for these skins… because I very rarely EVER buy skins that aren’t made by Hart Larsson or Starley Therian. For a first skin, I have to say I am EXTREMELY impressed by the outcome, and am glad to be giving a review to such an obviously talented person.

You guys know the drill…

Nudie shots below the cut! :)

The Technicalities:

Tones Available: Almond (lightest), Pecan (Medium), Hazelnut (Darkest)
Make-Up: There are eight makeups available in each skin tone, ranging from deep burgundy to bare nude. Very versatile.
Price: $500L per makeup or $3000L for ALL EIGHT makeups! What a steal!

I will start off by saying again that this is, in fact, Stephanie’s first skin, and again, I am extremely impressed. Because wow… you’re doing way better than I probably ever could, honey child. LOL! But anyway… on with the review! My favorite parts, as always… tits and ass.

The boobs are actually nicely shaded, very well highlighted… but I have to say I’m not the biggest fan of the nipples on the Hazelnut skin (the skin tone I’ll be reviewing). They are virtually my only complaint, considering tits and ass are a big selling point for me. BUT… again, first skin. And they’ll only get better! Which I’m very excited about… I can’t wait to see the next line…. *dreams*…. Oh, I’m getting ahead of myself. Sorry! Moving right along…

The ass is superb in its shading and highlights and gives a nice “grabbable” feel, which might not be that great for you girls that like to shake your groove thang at the clubs… wouldn’t want those grimey guys grabbing your hiney all night, do ya? Of course you don’t! But regardless, this is an awesome ass… if I were a guy, I’D touch it! However, while looking at that fantastic booty I noticed two things… one, there are seams on the outsides of both arms… rather large ones. And two… the “inside” of the ass crack… is not terribly detailed. It’s almost flatly painted, like a long flap of skin connecting the bottom of the pussy to the ass. Not a HUGE deal… but still, I thought it was a tiny bit odd. However, it obviously didn’t stop me from buying these skins! And speaking of vajayjay…

This one’s actually quite nice. No peeks into the pink, but still a very well defined slit and a lovely landing strip to boot.

Another thing I thought was a little strange, was that the ears have literally no ear lobe. Nope. None. While the rest of the ear is absolutely FANTASTIC… the earlobe is just… not there. Well, you know, I mean it’s THERE… but it’s not… it’s a little odd really! But again, I’m sure it’s just an oversight and will be fixed in the next batch of skins to come out of Miss Misfit’s glorious mind.

The feet are great for being Second Life feet, and all of you know what I mean by that, I’m sure. There are five clearly defined, pink polished toe nails, and five distinct toes. Another thing I’m rather pleased with on this skin is the top of the hands, and the back of the hands. I LOVE it when designers ad tiny details like this (back of the knees, palms of the hands, sublime collar bone shading, etc) and Stephanie is on the ball with hers. And while we’re on the subject of collar bones… LOOK MA!! No neck seams! Omg… *faints*

And now to my absolute, undoubtedly favorite part of this skin…

The unbelievably, fucking fantastic makeup.

This is the true reason I bought this skin. While I’m not a big fan of the bright reds and pinks (nothing personal, just those tones don’t ever look good on me), I have to say that the Burgundy and the Mulberry (what I’m wearing) are to DIE for. The face is so beautiful, I almost died looking at myself, AND… it doesn’t change what I look like in comparison to the skins I usually wear, which is a HUGE plus in my book. Basically… if you wear Starley Therian’s Vogue skin line, and you can never find a skin that doesn’t drastically change your appearance… try these. Because they’re REMARKABLE in the way they DON’T change your face.

SO! This is my story… and I’m sticking to it. Everyone should bustle their butt on over to La Sylphide (SLURL) and grab one of these unbelievably gorgeous skins. At $500L and the most beautiful face I’ve seen so far in Second Life… you should really treat yourself to something this sexy.
