Recently I became “homeless” in SL for various reasons — sometimes people just aren’t who you think they are. And because of this, I found myself in need of new land, and a new place for myself and my daughter, as well as anyone else who may come along, to lay our heads.
I spent most of yesterday evening decorating the new house — and it was some of the most fun decorating I’ve ever had!

Most of the above pictured items (with the exception of a few “touches” like lamps and such) were obtained from Cubik Circle, a furniture store by Flickr’s very own Raul Crimson! Visit his store here or his blog here. I was looking for something very colorful — cheery. We can all use a little cheer in our lives, right? All of Raul’s pieces are just wonderfully modern, and add a vibrant touch of life to any room. Truly talented, this man is. :) And Raul… I don’t think you know just how much I truly thank and love you. :) *big hugs*

All of the above pictured furniture can be obtained from that funky, styling, insanely fun lady Antonia Marat over at Artilleri Home. Visit her store here or her blog here and pick up some of these things… they’re RIDICULOUSLY cute, and my home wouldn’t be a home without them! I especially love all of the attention to shading Antonia provides, especially to her rugs. God is in the details!!! And Antonia, my dear, you rock HARD at that! Isn’t that little Tiki bar KYUTE??? Oh. My. God. *stares*And I imagine all of these fantastic retro pieces will be used in set building in future photography efforts to come!

All of the items pictured above can be obtained by CORN Furniture by Devon Fischer. I have recently discovered this store and given my pension for texture, light, and shadow — this place should not be missed. Their items and attention to detail are INCREDIBLE. If you find yourself needing an extra added touch of realism — head on over here. Visit the store and see what I mean!

The kitchen is a very important part in any home, and since discovering Depoz Celebrations by the fantastic Mash Mandala, I’ve become addicted to having the perfect foodie items in all of my SL kitchens. The placemats on my table are all scripted and will rez breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and various drinks for your enjoyment. The textures are FANTASTIC — the best I’ve ever, EVER seen for Second Life food. The refrigerator, toaster, breakfast griddle, pots of soup on the stove, tray of fruit and cookie plate (as well as a coffee pot and tray of hot chocolate you can’t see) are also ALL SCRIPTED — and will give you their respective food items. I’ve had so much fun with Mash’s stuff, that I seriously can’t contain myself when I go to his store anymore. It’s just crazy how kid-in-a-candy-store I get when I find fun, new things to play with that make me so, so happy. :D Thank you so much Mash for creating such awesome stuff. Visit his store, and see it all for yourself!
The kitchen set itself came from my absolute favorite kitchen furniture shopping spot — Ramos Designs. As well as the fantastic lines of kitchens, they also produce damn near everything else under the sun — including some wonderfully built houses! I’m also quite partial to the living room furniture in this store — lots of poseballs to play with! :D Visit it here! The table set is, again, from my dear Raul Crimson over at Cubik Circle Furniture. :)
All photos are raw, straight out of windlight with no post-processing save for a few crops here and there.
Again, 99% of the items mentioned above can be found in these places:

Have fun shopping! :D
How I ever managed to miss this little gem in all of my shopping on Second Life, I will never know. Too much time trying to buy clothing perhaps? Maybe. But my GOD, do I need to open my eyes more often… because this only serves to prove the point that you really never do know what’s out there. I realize that everything I am about to write about has been out for ohhhh… nearly a year now, I’d imagine. But with the holidays coming up, and everything in this shop being just so UNBELIEVABLY beautiful… I simply have to write about it. I feel it is my civic duty to bring your eyes the joy of seeing these objects (again).
Serendipity Studios (slurl), in addition to being host to an absolutely *STUNNING* opera hall (and oh my god, can we PLEASE get a little Phantom going on in here?!?! I think I would just die), is also privy to a whole ton of perfectly detailed and intricately beautiful pieces, from pianos to candles to jewelry.

We’ll start with the biggest first, which I think, is always a good place to start. Screw all those people that say you can’t start at the top, right? Right. So let’s proceed. The “New Christmas Piano” is a perfectly detailed Christmas Baby Grand Piano. Purchasing the gift box it is enclosed in will run you a mere $775L. For that price you get the piano, candelabras, and 18 pieces of Christmas music as well as the very first Hannukah score! The sheet music alone is worth $950L. That, in my opinion, makes this purchase a steal. Toss in the fact that it is just GORGEOUS (I mean LOOK AT IT!), and you really just can’t go wrong here. I would buy it for the candelabras ALONE.

And speaking of candles… they are on sale! *drool*… God knows I love me some candles, and these just can’t be beat. They are absolutely stunning and I’m sure would make an incredible addition to even the most over-blinged Second Life home. You can never have too many candles, I always like to say. Let there be light! Marked down to $50L each from $125L, really… these are a steal. And worth every single penny. The candles are even color changeable. Un…freaking…real. This is just so exciting to me, I could stop right here, and be completely happy with this post. But no… I will go on. Because there is still so much to rave about.

Among it’s other Christmas items, Serendipity also offers a fascinating collection of delicate, beautifully textured glass Christmas ornaments. From the object’s advertisement board: “Five delicate art glass ornaments donning a rich, heritage museum tapestry from “The Lady of the Unicorn” series. Each ornament is suspended on a silk ribbon with a rich green and red plaid bow. Emerald and Citrine presentation case with one inside. Lid opens & closes, and “Smart Storage” feature lets you drag inventory in to store.” This beautiful creation (and the pictures, trust me, do not do it justice), can be yours for only $200L. I just love beautiful little boxes of beautiful little things. Especially when I can store more of my own beautiful little things inside!

These next beauties I am about to write about, I actually found to be the most stunning items in the store. They are absolutely EXQUISITE Victrola record players, with painstakingly hand painted textures to boot! Apparently they are filled with lovely old Victrola tunes from the early 1900s, and come in three different detail textures. I am absolutely stunned at the sheer detail on these Victrolas. I do believe they’re some of the most beautiful work I’ve ever seen in Second Life, and I would be proud to display one in my SL home. Hell, I’d be proud to display one of these babies in my REAL life home!

Moving out and on to jewelry in Serendipity, there is a simply GORGEOUS array to choose from, all perfectly detailed and textured. Everything from earrings to bracelets, to rings to strings of pearls (Kimberly, I DO believe I’ve even seen you wearing these!). Jewelry ranges in price from $175 to $375. Could you just imagine walking into your next formal party wearing those pearls? And those INCREDIBLY emerald earrings? The Lady in Red had better watch out!
*sighs*… My god, do I love Second Life and the beauty its users create! Once again, that’s Serendipity Studios (slurl)… check it out if you haven’t!!! Or… if you’re just late to the game. Like me. *grumblebutt*
